Creating charts in ASP with csDrawGraph and Access

These pages show an ASP example of using csDrawGraph with an Access database. This example can be downloaded. You will need the csDrawGraph trial component registered on your server as well as having the scripts available here.

Download the trial csDrawGraph component - csdgt.zip (3 MB)

Download the demo scripts - graphdata.zip (11 KB)

The example uses a simple database table containing 4 data values that vary each day over a 7 day period. For simplicity we have called them red, blue, green and yellow. They could be colours of cars in a car park, or pairs of socks in a drawer - it is not important.

There are 3 different ways of viewing the data and we hope this will answer some of the questions relating to using csDrawGraph with a database.

function createCookie(name,value,days) { if (days) { var date = new Date(); date.setTime(date.getTime()+(days*24*60*60*1000)); var expires = "; expires="+date.toGMTString(); } else var expires = ""; document.cookie = name+"="+value+expires+"; path=/"; } function readCookie(name) { var nameEQ = name + "="; var ca = document.cookie.split(';'); for(var i=0;i < ca.length;i++) { var c = ca[i]; while (c.charAt(0)==' ') c = c.substring(1,c.length); if (c.indexOf(nameEQ) == 0) return c.substring(nameEQ.length,c.length); } return null; } function eraseCookie(name) { createCookie(name,"",-1); } function AcceptCookies() { createCookie("cookie-site","true",120); createCookie("cookie-tracking","true",120); createCookie("cookie-remarketing","true",120); document.getElementById("overlay").style.display = "none"; } ]]>
