Selecting and uploading files from VB by HTTP using csXPostUpload

This demo requires Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and the csXPostUpload trial ocx control must also be installed on your system. It uploads files to a web server by HTTP so it must be used with a web server that is capable of saving posted files. The demo includes a script that can be used with the trial version of our csASPUpload component in ASP. The trial control and project files are available below:

The trial csXPostUpload control - csXPostUploadTrial.exe (819 KB)

The trial csASPUpload component - csupt.zip (160 KB)

The example VB project, with instructions. - example2.zip (5 KB)

This example shows how csXPostUpload can be used to add file upload functionality to a VB project. The control itself is hidden and files are selected by the VB programme and the instruction to upload the files is also given programmatically. The file selection process has been kept simple in order to illustrate how the control can be used. It uses the MS Common Dialog control to select a file and add it to a List Box and multiple files can be added this way before clicking the button to upload them.

A longer description of this demo is provided in the ReadMe.txt file included in the download.

A simple VB demo is available - Here. This demo uses the csXPostUpload control to select and filter the files and requires almost no VB coding.
